|Step 1 – Make a basic arrangement. Start by creating an intro section by cutting the bassline. Have Section B start at bar 17.|
|Step 2 – Use the EXS24 for ‘pad’ sound. The EXS24 is a sample player and therefore it has a vast array of different sounds to choose from. Write a melody for Section A|
|Step 3 – Use the Vintage B3 Organ for a chord part. Write a rhythmical chord part that starts at Section B.|
|Step 4 – Work on the arrangement. Think about how to develop the arrangement. Drop parts out and vary the combinations of different instruments.
This is only the first stage and should be thought of as a sketch at this point.
