Step 1 – Use the ES2. Insert the ES2 onto the track named RIFF HERE
Step 2 – The Oscillators. Adjust the OSC 1, 2 & 3 to the desired waveforms and blend together. Tune one of the OSC -12 semitones (octave). Adjust the Analog parameter and detune the synth by -40 cents
Step 3 – The Filter. Add some resonance and adjust the filter cut-off point.
Step 4 – The ADSR envelope. Increase the attack and release times slightly.
Step 5 – The ES2 effect section. Add some distortion, brightness and some Flanger
Step 6 – Using Automation. Use automation to change the filter cut-off point over time.
Step 7 – Experiment with FX. Add some Reverb, Flanger and any other FX you can think of
Step 8 (Optional). Toughen up the drums. Try and make the drums compete more effectively with the main riff. Change the sounds if necessary. The track is 140 bpm, that’s the same as Grime and Dubstep. Can you create a remix?
